What files can I import?

DICOM files from your imaging center: a CD/DVD folder, a USB stick, a ZIP archive or individual .dcm files. Extra files on CDs (DICOMDIR, viewers, autorun) are ignored automatically.

Do I need to install software?

No. Everything runs in your web browser, on computer, tablet or phone.

How do I share a scan with my doctor?

Open the scan, click “Share this scan”, choose a duration and send the link and the access code separately. Your doctor doesn't need an account.

Can I stop a share?

Yes. In Shares, click Revoke: the link stops working within a minute. You can also see when the link was opened.

Who can see my images?

Only you, and the people you give a link and code to. Files are stored privately and never sent to any AI service.

How do I protect my account?

Turn on two-step verification in My account. After 5 wrong passwords, sign-in is locked for 15 minutes.

Can I download or delete all my data?

Yes. In My account → My data, export everything in one click or permanently delete your account.

Does scans.me give a diagnosis?

Accepted Answer

No. scans.me is a storage, viewing and sharing tool. It is not a medical device and does not interpret images. Always rely on your doctor and the radiology report.
